I just saw the turtle video where they’re trying to pull out a plastic straw from a turtle’s nostril. I found myself literally screaming at the screen as the rescuer kept trying to grab the end of the straw with what was obviously too small a set of pliers and it kept breaking off just a little piece of plastic at a time.
Why they didn’t just grab the poor thing’s head and hold it steady while somebody used some vice grips – or at least a bigger set of pliers! – to pull that plastic out escapes me! So infuriating to watch it suffer so much.
Glad they were successful in the end and got the the straw out, but still, just so much agony that turtle had to endure!
