It was three months ago today that I hit my target weight of 164 pounds. Back then, it took me thirty-five days to lose the twenty-four pounds. Once I started eating again and stopped my walking regimen, the pounds came back. I’ve been averaging between ten and fifteen pounds over ever since. However, I have been sticking to my schedule of fasting the last three days of every month and find that it helps clear my head and regain my focus, which is good. I usually lose five pounds in the first couple of days, but then the rate slows down dramatically. My last fast started on August 28 and I’ve decided this time around to keep going until I get back to 164. This means I’m probably looking at another couple of weeks of fasting if past experience is any indication of how long it takes for me to shed the weight.
