We all reach moments of life changing decisions. Some of these are relatively minor, others much more significant. I've learned that it's best to follow the truth, whatever or wherever that is. Because as some wise sage pointed out many years ago, the truth is always the truth and always has the same answer. A lie on the other hand, can take a tremendous amount of work to maintain and is vulnerable to being undermined from many points of entry - hence the old saying "Oh what a tangled web we weave when at first we set out to deceive."
Though difficult or perhaps even painful to accept, "the truth will set you free" does seem to be the case. As far as I know, we only have this one life. How we choose to spend our time is up to us. If we choose to spend it doing things beneath our potential then we should not be surprised at being disappointed by the result. Be honest with yourself and don't spend your time doing things you know aren't good for you.
