The solution is to change position

Rather than move the bricks from inside (which is awkward anyhow), better to step outside facing the cat feeders and move the bricks there. Also, now that each feeder’s 4 bricks have been glued together (I used DAP Alex Plus caulk), pretty easy to just pick up and move the blocks.

Doesn’t seem that long ago I glued four bricks together to make a block! Ever since, the raccoons haven’t toppled the cat feeders, so I’ll take that as a win. In addition to the 16 lb weight, I imagine brick isn’t a texture raccoons like to come in contact with their claws.
