I quit drinking beer and wine on April 19, 2004 because of a chronic sinus condition. I had already eliminated coffee the month before, so alcoholic beverages seemed like the next logical thing to give up. I didn’t have either again until November 4, 2010 when I “enjoyed” one glass of red wine following a concert.
The next day, I felt terrible. No more wine. Instead, I began drinking beer. It didn’t take long before I started noticing the effects of beer on my belly. Now some eight months after allowing beer back into my life, the “beer belly” is the biggest it’s ever been! Time to stop.
