Set thermostat for the room you want heated, not house

Instead of trying to keep the entire house at 68, I’ve set my thermostat to 64. The heating system here is not at all equal, some rooms get 10-15 degrees more heat than others. Setting your thermostat for the rooms you need/use most (not the whole house) is the way to go. Saves energy, saves money.

Update 12/21/21

Update 1/25/23
