Poor usability design: still plenty of sites that suffer from it

I find it pretty amazing that given all the research and case studies about usability, that there still are so many websites by companies out there that are as poorly designed as they are. Take for example, add to cart button placement and size. Why put it in a place the eye is not likely to see right away or in a font color or size that makes it appear as somehow not important? If you’re trying to sell something, don’t make me have to hunt and peck all over the page for how to do that.
