I couldn’t publish yesterday or this morning to this site. Every time I hit the ‘Publish Post’ button I’d get the following error:

Publishing your blog is taking longer than expected. To continue
waiting for it to finish, click here.

java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out
I was able to get it to work again by changing the FTP settings:
Settings -> Publishing -> FTP Server
-> change ftp.yourwebsite.com to yourwebsite.com
