Every interval is in the major scale

One of my earliest memories of Mel Graves (circa 1982) is him sitting at the piano, playing a low C drone and having us sing all the intervals in the major scale.

m2 = 3-4, 7-8

M2 = 1-2, 2-3, 4-5, 5-6, 6-7

m3 = 2-4, 3-5, 6-8

M3 = 1-3, 4-6, 5-7

P4 = 1-4, 2-5, 3-6, 5-8

TT = 4-7

P5 = 1-5, 2-6, 3-7, 4-8

m6 = 3-8

M6 = 1-6, 2-7

m7 = 2-8

M7 = 1-7

P8 = 1-8
