Learning new stuff

The moment when you realize that one of your assumptions is dead wrong can be a growth experience. Such was the case today when I learned that the computer that originates a particular command on an online program gets traced not only to the hosting company, but also to the OP’s ISP. For some reason I didn't think about that in this particular case, while at the same well aware for decades that hackers etc. got tracked by their ISP and IP address. Old news which apparently I'd forgotten about.
