To raise a blind, you pull the cord. This is a normal, real world example. When Steve Jobs decided to change the direction of the mouse, it just didn't feel right and I set my mouse direction to the way it was before. To scroll the screen, I pull on the mouse wheel just like I would pull the cord raising a blind.
